Alberton's Grocery Store hosts a "Healthy Eaters" fieldtrip.   
"The Healthy Eaters™ field trip is designed to reinforce the
nutrition and healthy living curricula taught in schools. At your local
Albertsons, children will have a fun experience in a real life
environment that will help prepare them to make healthy choices
each day of their lives."  The fieldtrips are designed for k-4, and are
an hour to ninety minutes long.  

Cabela's hosts fieldtrips in their huge store.  You can see the
aquarium, learn about different furs, hear animal calls, and learn a bit
about taxidermy.  

The Cottonwood Canyons foundation will schedule many
different events with you - flower  walks, hikes with a naturalist,  
beaver and wetland walks, bat parties, tiger salamander treks, night
hikes, and snowshoe treks - depending on the season.

Discovery Gateway children'smuseums offers fieldtrips at a
greatly reduced price. You must prepay, and time is limited, but it is a
great place to explore for children.

HeeHaw Farms offers fieldtrips in the fall.   Each fieldtrip
includes a trip through the corn maze with an educational passport,
a class hayride, a visit to Animal Alley with the farm animals, a free
mini pumpkin or gourd, a free coloring activity booklet, and class
potato digging.

Petco offers a fabulous, hands on fieldtrip for children called
"
Furs, Feathers, and Fins".     "The Fur, Feathers & Fins™
program allows children to learn about the characteristics and
habitats of fish, reptiles, birds, and small animals. At your local
PETCO, lessons in science, math and geography come to life
through this hands-on field trip. As students develop a respect for
animals, they will also develop a greater sense of responsibility."  
The trips are designed for ages k-8, and are an hour to ninety
minutes long.

Salt Lake Municipal Airport offers a tour for fieldtrip visitors.  
The telephone number is 561-7531.  They'll take you on a guided
tour, and give the children little take-home bags.  A fun place to
visit!

Salt Lake Valley Landfill hosts a class about the cycles at the
landfill, and the importance of recycling.  They'll take you on a
short caravan tour.

Sweet Candy Company offers tours for groups.  
"Sweet Candy Company is pleased to offer the public a free 40-
minute tour. The tour ends with a visit to the outlet store, where
you can purchase factory fresh candy."  

The Living Planet Aquarium hosts fieldtrips for ages k-6.  You
can have a self-guided tour, and they offer research documents for
prepping students for the trip.   The program takes about ninety
minutes.
