Starting at the Nature Center, 5044 South Lucky Lane (825 West) Murray, Utah.
Wildlife includes: migratory birds, shore birds, raccoons, beavers, muskrats, ducks, skunks,

Homeschool Fencing is every Wednesday 10am - 11 or so at the Sandy Rec Center (440 East
8680 South) For ages 6 and up. Join us for a fun filled hour (or more) of fencing and other
exercise. This class is continuous so you can start whenever. The cost is $45 each month.
West Valley Park Day
Every Wednesday afternoon from 1 to 3 p.m. at Hunter Park on 6000 W And a half block south of
3500 S. Bring your sunscreen, chair, and a smile!
Music Group
Music group for young children is held every Wednesday at 2pm, see Homeschooling the Littles or

Grab your sunscreen, sack lunches and water bottles and meet us on the trail First and Third
Thursdays at 10am for kid friendly hikes. Weather permitting! (We don't hike in questionable
weather.) This week’s hike is at Neff Canyon. From Wasatch Blvd, take 3800 S. east and turn
right on Parkview Drive (3700 E) Follow until it meets Parkview Terrace and turn left. The second
street on the right leads to White Park and the trailhead.

Skating at Classic Skate for all homeschoolers. Join homeschoolers at Classic Skating from
10am ‘til noon on the first and third Fridays of the month. Skate cost is $2 includes regular skate
rental, you may Bounce and skate for $5. Inline skates can be rented for an additional $2. Classic is
located at 9151 South 255 West in Sandy.
Magna Park Day
Meet at Pleasant Green Park -- located behind the parking lot for the Magna Rec Center, 8400 W
at about 34th S. There is a nice playground, swing set, pavilion, and basketball court. Bring balls,
toys, and games to share.
Sandy HS Park Day
Draper Park Street: 12400 S 1300 E Draper Notes: Fun and conversation for all ages. Come
out and meet other homeschoolers! Bring a blanket or lawn chair for a comfortable seat! Picnics
welcome too. Feel free to bring books, crafts, ideas, games. We are excited to hear your input. We
meet on the west side of the park, closest to the Draper Library. It's a great time to visit the library
before or after Park Day as well. 10-12pm

Utah Unschoolers Hike: Habitat Nature Trail at Ogden Nature Center
Admission is $3 for those 12 & under and $1.25 for kids 2-11. Meet outside the education center
located a small walk from the parking lot on the right hand side of the road.
The habitat trail is a self-guided, interpretive trail marked with specific points of interest. Each point
provides an introduction to different habitats at the Nature Center – aquatic, riparian, upland and
wetland. At each stop, take a moment to observe the environment around you. If you are quiet,
patient and watch carefully, you may observe some of the many residents that live in these habitats.

This club is for girls ages 8-12. This month's book is Nancy Drew - the selection is up to the

month, at the Accord Ice Center, adjacent to West Valley Family Rec Center (5353 West 3100
South). Discount price is $2.50 per person ages 5 and up, and includes skates. Children under 5yo

Utah Unschoolers Hike: Pioneer Historic Trail
From Salt Lake City take I-80 east to UT-65 (exit 134). Proceed north for 8.2 miles to the top
of Big Mountain Pass. The trailhead is on your right, on the left of the cleared parking area. The
whole trail is 4.3 miles one way (you can park a second car to use as a shuttle), but we'll just go as far
as the kiddos feel like and turn around and go back. 11am

Books and Bites For Homeschool Girls is a book club for all home schooled girls ages 8-11. The
book club meets once a month to discuss the book of the month, have lunch, do crafts and play
games. All girls ages 8-11 are welcome to join regardless of reading ability. The girls play a big part in
