The Vision
Backyard Capers was begun as a project to provide families and home
educators in the Salt Lake valley with calendars of "what's happening" in
our area.
Since then it's become (to its author) so much more.
I am a home educating Mama who believes in playing with her children.
I believe in childhood, and in learning while playing.
I want to invite families to go adventuring. Make memories. Celebrate
everyday joys. Tramp in the woods, play in mud puddles once in a while,
make riotous noise, celebrate youth and be lively. I want to inspire families
to live and learn joyfully!
I hope these pages help others to do just that.
